Verdon Park

The Verdon Regional Nature Park was founded around the magnificent site of the Gorges du Verdon. Covering 180,000 ha, it includes some 45 communes, 25 of which are in Alpes-de-Haute-Provence (and 20 in Var).

It stretches from the Valensole plateau to the Var highlands and from the Artuby region to the Mondenier de Canjuers pre-Alpine massifs. The roads along the gorges offer breathtaking scenery. But the Verdon also means discovering hilltop villages, Gallo-Roman ruins, churches and local heritage.
